AirCruising speeds up sightseeing - Mauiva AirCruise.

If visiting Muir Woods, Monterey, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon are on your bucket list, a Mauiva AirCruise can help you cross them off inside a week.

The Mauiva AirCruise Western Wonder Experience combines private plane flights on 30- to 70-seat turboprop planes and deluxe motor coaches to minimize travel time.  In seven days, guests visit Monterey, Carmel, San Francisco, Sausalito, Muir Woods, Sonoma County and Yosemite National Park in California, the Grand Canyon in Arizona and Hoover Dam and Las Vegas.

The mostly inclusive package offers daily departures and costs $1,799 per person, based on double occupancy. Activities include a whale watch in Monterey, wine tasting in Sonoma, a cruise to Alcatraz and guided tours of Yosemite National Park, the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. Guests travel from private airports and the package features six nights lodging at a luxury star hotel. Additional amenities include:

--Luggage delivery to/from your room;

--Breakfast and dinner daily;

--Admission for all attractions/activities;

--A bilingual travel host;

--Tour guides;

--A cancellation policy that returns 100% if canceled 15 days or more in advance.

There is also an Eastern itinerary that includes Niagara Falls; Toronto; Hershey, Lancaster and Harrisburg, Pa.; Washington, D.C., and Mount Vernon and Arlington, Va. Prices begin at $1,499 for that six-day tour.

Tested: I tested the Western deal for two adults online and by phone and found departures widely available, even as early as Sept. 23.  Toward the holidays, Nov. 24 and Dec. 23 only have standby availability.  Total cost for two adults was $3,598.
