Activity at Mount Carmel Municipal Airport (KAJG), Mount Carmel, Illinois.

Airport Manager Ken Wood said Mt. Carmel Municipal Airport has been busy with traffic in the past two weeks of aircraft enroute to the Experimental Aircraft Fly-In at Oshkosh, Wis. He said thousands of airplanes go to that event; stopping in Mt. Carmel, many pilots buy fuel and visit the community.

The airport manager thanked the city for approving purchase of a new mower for the airport, replacing a 15-year-old mower and also "making our job a lot easier."

He concluded that the airport has received the first installments of farm contract payments, the cash rent the municipality receives for its farmland near the airport. Wood said the second installments are paid by the farm tenants in October.
