CHARLEVOIX — Authorities say no injuries were reported in when a Beechcraft 65 Queen Air crash landed at the Charlevoix Municipal Airport Friday.

According to a news release issued by officials with the Michigan State Police post in Gaylord, the incident happened around 4:15 p.m. Friday.

Police said the airplane was attempting to land at the airport following a flight from Beaver Island when the crash happened.

Police said there were nine people aboard the plane at the time, including the pilot.

According to the release, a preliminary investigation showed that the airplane was having a problem with its landing gear when it touched down. State police were working on the investigation with the Federal Aviation Administration.

The Charlevoix Municipal Airport runway was closed until the damaged airplane could be removed.
