A private plane crashed at the Naples Municipal Airport on Thursday afternoon.

Two passengers were on the Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee when it veered off the runway and into a taxiway sign after 2 p.m.

The Naples Fire Department said the crash was caused by instrument and navigation failure.

The plane had minor damage, and no one was hurt.

The scene has since been cleared.
