On February 26, 2017, about 0314 Coordinated Universal Time, a Cessna 152, B-HHN, collided with trees and came to rest in the trees while attempting a forced landing as a result of a reported loss of engine power. The airplane was operated by Hong Kong Aviation Club Limited under the pertinent civil regulations of Hong Kong. The airplane was substantially damaged and no one onboard the airplane sustained reportable injuries.

The accident is being investigated by the Accident Investigation Division, Civil Aviation Department, Hong Kong SAR. The NTSB has designated a U.S. Accredited Representative under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, as the state of manufacture for the aircraft to assist the CAD in its investigation.
