A small airplane took off from Moontown Airport but after engine problems, the pilot made an emergency landing near Mt. Carmel Elementary School.

The Federal Aviation Administration is ruling the landing as an incident, not an accident.

Crews on the scene say the pilot following protocol for the emergency landing. There was one other passenger and the two are okay.

The Federal Aviation Administration will resume their investigation on Sunday, September 18yh.
