State troopers used a helicopter to track down a hit and run suspect hiding in dense woods near Holyoke on Saturday, authorities said.
Police said the man fled the scene of a hit and run crash. Holyoke police contacted the Massachusetts State Police, which sent its Air Wing and K-9 units to assist. Soon after, an arrest was made.
“The Air Wing located the man hiding in dense pucker brush and directed the searchers to his location where he was placed under arrest without incident,” wrote state police.
The man was charged with operating a revoked license, operating to endanger, failing to keep in marked lanes, and two counts of leaving the scene of a personal injury crash.
