Coast Guard rescues two men from sinking vessel off Somers Point, Atlantic County, New Jersey

SOMERS POINT – A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City rescued two men Friday, Nov. 13 from a sinking boat off Somers Point.

The Coast Guard’s District 5 posted about the rescue Friday afternoon. A MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew hoisted two fishermen from their boat when it began taking on water.

The men were aboard a 16-foot boat when it started to sink, according to the Coast Guard.
