A Port St. Lucie man died Tuesday morning after undergoing a medical episode that led him to crash his vehicle on the departure level of Palm Beach International Airport.

Mark Ciocco, 76, was eastbound on the departure level when he was stricken, causing his 2007 Lincoln MKZ vehicle to leave the traffic lanes and collide with a concrete pole and a metal pedestrian handrail on the pedestrian medium. No one else was injured.

An autopsy performed by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Ciocco died of natural causes.
