Fuel tanks fall from Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft

Two tanks meant for carrying extra fuel have fallen off a Bangladesh Air Force training plane in Narshindgi on Monday.

The aircraft was reported to have made an emergency landing at Kishoreganj's Bhiarab Upazila, but the Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) Directorate has refuted any such touchdown.

Raypura Police Station OC Kazi Mizanur Rahman told bdnews24.com: "Two objects resembling oil tanks have fell from an air force plane. We have spoken to air force officials. They said those were fuel tanks. Police have reached the spot."

The Bhairab Police in Kishoreganj said that they had no information about any aircraft making an emergency landing in the area.

"The plane has reached Dhaka safely. The fuel tanks fell off, but everything else was all right. The reports of an emergency landing are not true," an ISPR official told bdnews24.com
