Denver auditor says Denver International Airport (KDEN) security needs improvement

DENVER (AP) – Denver auditor Dennis Gallagher says security at Denver International Airport needs to be improved to protect crucial equipment.

In an audit released Thursday, the report said door locks were not working, equipment areas were not adequately protected from public access and managers were not monitoring access to some of the airport’s critical areas.

The report determined the airport has adequate controls in place to protect computer systems and sensitive information.

According to the auditor’s office, the airport is promising to address all the findings and recommendations.
