Marshfield Municipal Airport (KMFI) issues on docket at council meeting, city attorney’s office in Marshfield, Wisconsin

MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) - Zoning and easement issues affecting Marshfield’s Municipal Airport are on the docket at Tuesday night’s Common Council meeting, and also at the city attorney’s office.

Airport Manager Jeff Gaier says the Council is expected to approve a new master plan for the airport that streamlines the zoning process necessary for future airport growth, especially airport hangars.

August 13th is also the deadline for Michael Trulen Sr., owner of “Power Pac” recreational vehicles, to respond to a civil complaint filed by the City of Marshfield.

Gaier says the civil suit claims Power Pac is violating a “clear-zone runway easement,” and seeks to affirm that the city has enforcement rights over the easements.

Power Pac currently uses the land for demonstrations of sport and utility vehicles such as snowmobiles and all-terrain 4-wheelers
