OSHKOSH - The
Experimental Aircraft Association is looking for some relief from a half
a million dollar bill from the government.
The Experimental Aircraft Association announced Wednesday it is petitioning a federal appeals court to stop the payment to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The money is to pay for dozens of air traffic controllers during this year's AirVenture.
The Federal Aviation Administration previously covered the costs, but the agency changed its policy this year due to federal budget cuts.
The Federal Aviation Administration has yet to respond to the Experimental Aircraft Association's petition.
This year's fly-in begins on July 29.
