Dead pilot previously convicted for violation of safety/operation of air transport - Aviatika MAI-890CX, EW-267SL, Choiniki, Belarus








The dead pilot of the plane, crashed in Khoiniki district of Homel voblast on May 31, was previously convicted for violation of safety or operation of air transport under Article 314 of the Criminal Code of Belarus. This was reported by press secretary of the Department of Internal Affairs, Transport Ministry of Belarus, Alexander Marchenko. According to him, the aircraft was produced in Russia in 2007.

A special group, implementing urgent investigative actions on the site of the incident, has been created to find out the cause of the disaster.

Meanwhile, the Investigative Committee of Belarus has commenced proceedings under Part 2 of Article 314 of the Criminal Code (violation of safety or operation of rail, air or water transport, resulting in the death of man), BelaPAN.

As Telegraf previously reported, May 31, a single-engine aircraft Aviatika-890SKH, which was cultivating agricultural fields, crashed near the village of Ivanovka in Khoiniki district of Homel voblast. As a result, an airline pilot, a man born in 1966, died.
