Letter: Is Palm Springs Air Museum next on list for jet noise naysayers?

I was dismayed to see that Rep. Mary Bono Mack seeks to effectively ban some military aircraft from Palm Springs International Airport.

Apparently, the plan is for them to use El Centro or Point Mugu in Ventura County. Are these facilities as good? Would the training be as effective? Are they as safe?

Sorry to interrupt someone's barbecue or golf game, but think of what people in New York at the World Trade Center or in Washington at the Pentagon had to put up with on 9/11.

Also consider all the sacrifices over the years, some making the ultimate sacrifice, and yet we have this.

I'll bet Bono Mack was not seeking to ban private corporate golf junket jets from Palm Springs. How many on her staff (including herself) who pressed this demand are veterans?

Next they'll want to get rid of the air museum because it makes noise. They need a reality check.
