Sunflower Aviation Limited boosts airport services for high-end travellers

NADI-based Sunflower Aviation Limited says it will provide a boost for high-end travellers into the country by offering all relevant services under one roof.

Speaking to The Fiji Times, SAL chairman Don Collingwood said the country's reputation as the preferred holiday destination for a growing number of travellers into the luxury market meant that Sunflower's entry into the ground handling arena was timely given the type of service it would provide.

"Fiji is well recognised for hosting some the of finest luxury resorts in the world. With many high-end visitors choosing to enter the country via private, non-scheduled jets, Sunflower Aviation Limited recognises the importance of an efficient, discrete and reliable response for this important market segment," he said.

Mr Collingwood explained that SAL would provide a one-stop-shop for VIP guests, which covered everything from basic ground handling services through to customs clearance and parking.

"Aircraft clearance, customs and immigration, provisions, cleaning, security, parking, technical support, handling services for passengers and crew, destination management services and communications are among some of the services we will provide.

"Basically SAL will provide a one stop shop for all visiting aircraft, ensuring the highest standards and most efficient services," said Mr Collingwood.

SAL was recently granted a security certificate by the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji to provide ground handling services at Nadi International Airport breaking a 30- year monopoly previously enjoyed by Air Terminal Services.
