LOT Polish Airlines Boeing 767-300: Newark flight makes forced gear up landing in Warsaw, Poland. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Flight LO-16.

Shortly before 3 pm on Tuesday a Lot Polish Airlines Boeing 767 flying from Newark, New Jersey, made an emergency landing at Warsaw's Chopin Airport.

The aircraft was unable to deploy its landing gear, and was forced to land with its wheels stowed.

The plane landed successfully, bumping and shooting flames from its underbelly as it landed.

Fire brigades and emergency personnel were awaiting on the ground and moved into action as the plane landed.

However, the plane was able to come to a complete stop and didn't seem to undergo any structural damage that would have put the passengers -- reportedly numbering 230 -- in dire risk.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
