Delta Airlines Airbus A319 Diverted To JFK After Bird Strike. John F Kennedy International Airport (KJFK) New York, New York.

MYFOXNY.COM - A Delta flight from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Boston was diverted to JFK because of a bird strike.

The Airbus A319 landed safely. No injuries were immediately reported.

Delta Flight #1380 departed LaGuardia at 11:26 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Boston at 2 p.m.

Fox 5 News had calls in to the Port Authority and the Federal Aviation Administration to try to get more details.

Bird strikes are a problem at New York area airports. One famous strike in January, 2009, caused the emergency landing of a US Airways jet in the Hudson River. The event was dubbed the "Miracle In The Hudson" because all 155 passengers and crew survived.
