Transport Minister Leo Varadkar has said the Government still has to decide if it will sell its 25% state in Aer Lingus - but if it does it will only be sold to the right buyer at the right price.

The Minister who was attending ceremonies at Ireland West Airport at Knock, Co Mayo, said the shares would not be appearing on eBay in the morning.

Minister Varadkar flew into the airport, founded by Monsignor James Horan, to take part in celebrations to mark its continued success over the past 25 years.

Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary was there to meet the four millionth Ryanair passenger to fly through Knock.

Last year, traffic through the airport increased by 10%.
