Niagara Falls International Airport (KIAG) Loses Airline. (New York)

Vision Airlines is grounding its flights out of Niagara Falls International Airport. The airline has notified the NFTA that it will not resume flights between Niagara Falls and Florida this winter. Vision began service last December, with two weekly flights to Destin and Fort Walton, Florida, that continued to Miami. Vision tells Business First that it wasn't able to continue the Miami connection, and for Niagara Falls to work, you need the south Florida connection. Officials say they would consider resuming service if a new route becomes available. Vision carried more than 3,000 passengers on 41 flights over six months earlier this year, much lower than Spirit and Direct Air numbers.
