Cessna 206: Pilot Made Emergency Landing north of Valley International Airport (KHRL), Harlingen, Texas.

Emergency crews have located the plane. No injuries are reported.


Willacy County authorities confirmed the pilot of a plane reported missing managed to make an emergency landing in the Santa Monica area. We're told the pilot is fine.

Harlingen firefighters started searching for the single-engine Cessna 206 north of Valley International Airport, after the tower lost contact with the plane.

The assistant fire chief tells us only one person was onboard the plane.


A Cessna 206 makes a crash landing along FM 1420 and FM 508 on the Cameron/Willacy county line Thursday morning.

Cameron County Emergency Management Coordinator Humberto Barrera told Action 4 News the pilot reported problems with the engine.

A search for the plane began just after 11 a.m.

Fire crews from Harlingen, along with emergency crews from Willacy County assisted in the search.

The Cessna was eventually found with its pilot inside.

No injuries are being reported at this time.

Action 4 News is on the scene gathering more details regarding the crash.
