    Think this charter company uses 1099 contract pilots who fly for 15 days straight then off for 15 days . Pilots have to pay for their own type rating .

    Pilots should never have to pay for their own training...unless they are guaranteed a very high daily rate and a minimum number of paid days (flying or not) every week or month.
