Even though substantial damage occurred, the pilot did an extraordinary job getting the glider on the ground with no injury! This is another example of the top notch training and skill these pilots that serve our country have. They set an example for all other pilots to follow. I believe that they should be equipped with new gliders to assure they maximize and build experience so that they may better serve our country. We all are fortunate to have this organization that provides this function that benefits all taxpayers at a very reasonable cost.

ReplyDeleteGood point. Also Civil Air Patrol makes gliders available to senior members at a very inexpensive rate so that they can continue flying and are not discriminated against due the age. The program seems to be working well with funding available for the activity.

To answer your question…LaGrange Airport. . “The two other families settled for 5 million each. The total judgment was $21.9 million for all 3 pilots killed in the crash. The USAF footed the bill with YOUR Taxpayer dollars. None of the CAP pilots responsible for the accident were held accountable.”
