THURSTON COUNTY, Nebraska — UPDATE: The FAA says a serious injury occurred after a helicopter crashed last Friday in Thurston County.

An FAA report states that a Robinson R66 struck powerlines and crashed in a field near Pender, Nebraska.

There was one serious injury and the helicopter had substantial damage.

PREVIOUS STORY:

Authorities in Thurston County are investigating after a helicopter crashes Friday afternoon at about 2:00 pm.

The Sheriff's Office says that a helicopter did go down while spraying fields in the area.

No information if there were any injuries was released.

The accident remains under investigation.
