  1. Big age gap here -- the student is 68 and the instructor is 22. My suggestion is that the student pilot work with a flight instructor close to his own age. That's what I did and got great results.

    "This particular student has been through 14 CFI's, has about 250 hours and still has not been signed off to take the Private Pilot Practical Exam."

    1. When I was a kid a model airplane was made of balsa wood with a propeller powered by a big rubber band. Times do change.

    2. At 270 hours and still a student pilot, it's time to give up becoming a private pilot. This person does not have what it takes, unfortunately. Amazingly, nobody was hurt.
