  1. Would be interesting to know if the forgotten tow bar was detected during gear retract or by a radio call "Hey, twin departing - your tow bar is hanging off the front".

    Since the rule "don't have the two bar connected unless your hand is on it" fails like this, perhaps a rubber band stowed on the bar handle that is moved to an index finger while in use should be considered as a reminder that the bar has not been put away.
