  1. I doubt it was hand propping. More likely complete brake failure or possibly the seat rolled back out of lock and the pilot lost reach of any of the controls - a nightmare scenario. At least with a brake failure you can kill the engine and try the parking brake (and at the very least still steer away from hitting something).
