A small plane had to make a hard landing Friday afternoon at the Inverness Airport after its landing gear malfunctioned.
According to Citrus County Fire Rescue Chief Craig Stevens and a Chronicle reporter on scene, the single-engine craft landed upright on the far side of the airport’s runway, and its pilot suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Firefighters made sure there was no fuel leakage, and Citrus County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to begin investigations.
