On July 24, 2018, about 1456 central daylight time, a Schmidt Vans RV7A, N20342, nosed over during landing at Princeton Municipal Airport (PNM), Princeton, Minnesota. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed, and no flight plan had been filed. The flight originated from Schmidt Ranch Airport (1WN0), Northport, Washington, and was destined for Wittman Regional Airport (OSH), Oshkosh Wisconsin, but diverted to PNM.

Pilot stated he and his son departed 1WN0 at 0515 Pacific daylight time, and were en route to OSH. They decided to stop in PNM. The winds were gusty. The Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) was out of service, so the pilot was not sure of wind speed. The approach to PNM was normal. As they landed, a gust of wind caused the airplane to drift left. The nose wheel got stuck in the soft soil and the airplane nosed over. The pilot stated there were no mechanical anomalies with the airplane.
