A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing this afternoon in Gulfport. The aircraft, CompAir, an experimental aircraft, was carrying three passengers on board.

According to airport officials, as they were trying to land the aircraft in Million Air, engine trouble was reported and they ended up landing in the grass alongside the runway with no incident. The passengers on board the aircraft are safe and no injuries have been reported.

The aircraft was scheduled to land at Million Air and airport officials have not released where the aircraft took off from.

The incident is still under investigation and since then, the aircraft has cleared the runway and it appears it did not suffer any major damages.
