Viking Air DHC-6 Twin Otter 400, 9N-AHH, Tara Air: Fatal accident occurred February 24, 2016 in Solighopte, Dana VDC of Myagdi district, Nepal



Feb 25, 2016- Bodies of Tara Air Twin Otter aircraft crew members—Captain Roshan Manandhar, co-pilot Dikesh Nemkul, and airhostess Rama Raut—killed in Wednesday’s crash in Soleghopte cliff of Myagdi district were brought to the Capital on Thursday. One passenger Dolma Chiring Sherpa's body has also been brought along.

The bodies airlifted from Pokhara airport were taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem. Their relatives arrived at the hospital.

Feb 25, 2016- All 23 people including three crew members on board the ill-fated Tara Air Twin Otter that crashed in Solighopte in Dana VDC of Myagdi district were killed on Wednesday. 

All 23 people on board the ill-fated Tara Air twin otter that crashed in Myagdi district on Wednesday morning were killed, Tara Air said.

Among the deceased, two were foreign nationals—one Chinese and one Kuwaiti. All others, including three crew members and two children, were Nepali nationals.

The crash site is 13,000 feet above the sea level and is around 100 kilometres from Pokhara.
