(Walton, Ky.) – A northern Kentucky aircraft equipment manufacturer is planning an expansion that will create almost 100 new jobs.
Messier-Bugatti-Dowty announced Thursday a $100 million expansion that will increase the plant’s capacity to meet expected demand for wheels and carbon brakes.
The expansion will take place at the current Messier-Bugatti-Dowty site in Walton. The company plans to begin construction this year, with a completion date set for 2018.
Once the expansion is complete, the plant will add about 80 new, full-time employees.
Messier-Bugatti-Dowty introduced carbon brakes in 1986 and their Walton plant supplies them for several major North American airlines including Delta, Spirit Airlines, and Air Canada.
