Bhutan flight makes emergency landing at Kolkata airport

A Royal Bhutan Airlines flight from Paro to Mumbai was forced to make an emergency landing at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Sunday morning after the windshield of the aircraft cracked during the journey.

The captain of the flight sought permission of the ATC for emergency landing as the aircraft suffered windshield crack during the flight, said an official at NSC Bose International Airport. After being cleared for emergency landing, the flight touched down safely at the airport at around 9.30 am at bay 56, the official added.

All the passengers and crew members on board the aircraft are safe.
