The Edgar County airport may be under new management soon.
Current manager Jimmy Wells has confirmed to NBC 2 that he has submitted his resignation.
He would not explain his reasoning behind stepping down, but discussion about the airport's future has been going on since fire was set to two planes last month.
The county board will vote on Well's resignation Wednesday morning.
