"After a skiing accident 2,5 years ago that left me partially paralyzed, I wasn't able to fly anymore. In my home country The Netherlands, an organization that enabled handicapped pilots to fly did not exist. In cooperation with the Belgian Handflight Fund and the KLM aeroclub we are working on making it possible for handicapped pilots in The Netherlands to fly again!"

"This video shows my first flight since the accident in a Piper Archer equipped with hand controls from the Belgian Handflight fund. The brakes and rudder are replaced by two bars. The left bar is for the brakes and the right bar is for the rudder. To get left rudder you pull the bar up and to get right rudder you push the bar down."
