Fighter jets set to practice over Adirondacks, New York

ALBANY, New York (AP) — People in the Adirondacks are being told they can expect to see and hear a pair of fighter jets practicing over northeastern New York.

Military authorities say the F-15s from the Massachusetts Air National Guard's 104th Fighter Wing are scheduled to perform scramble and intercept exercises from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday over the Loon Lake area.

Their practice target will be a Civil Air Patrol Cessna 182.

The training involves controlling airspace and responding to hijackings and unknown aircraft.
