Cessna 340 Panel Upgrade Completed By Pacific Coast Avionics

Aurora, Oregon (PRWEB) May 08, 2012

Pacific Coast Avionics has announced the completion of a panel upgrade on a Cessna 340 owned and operated by Dr. Doug Iverson, a veterinarian based in Everest, Washington. The upgrade included an all-new panel with the installation of a Garmin G-500 PFD, Garmin GTS-800 Traffic Alert System, Garmin GTN-750 and GTN-650 Touch-Screen GPS/Nav/Com Systems, Garmin GMA-350 Audio Panel, Garmin GTX-330 Mode S Transponder, and Garmin GDL-69A Weather Datalink System, plus a JP Instruments EDM-760 Engine Monitor System.

Commenting on the kit panel upgrade, Dewey Conroy, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for PCA said, “This panel is a great example of how modern avionics technology can extend the capabilities of General Aviation aircraft. The customer knew what he wanted and with our in-house capability for CAD panel design, panel cutting, powder coating, and laser engraving, we were able to deliver a completely custom panel to his exact specifications.”

Conroy went on to say, “We were able to tie-in the new avionics to the existing autopilot and provide all the necessary interfaces with other instruments. In the process, we cleaned up some wire bundles behind the old panel, which eliminated about 15 pounds of weight.” Commenting on the new panel, Dr. Iverson said, “This panel is everything I had hoped for. Whether I am flying for business or pleasure, the panel update provides much more situational awareness and really reduces cockpit workload.”
