Chester County man tries to bring gun on plane

Police say a Chester County man tried to bring a loaded gun onto a flight at Philadelphia International Airport.Security personnel stopped the 42-year-old man at a TSA checkpoint at 7 p.m. Thursday. 

Officials say he was planning to fly to South Carolina.Security agents found a loaded, 25 caliber semi-automatic handgun in his carry-on bag. Police say the gun was registered. 

The man, whose name has not been released, is in custody. He is expected to be arraigned Friday morning.He faces charges of reckless endangering and possession of an instrument of crime. The man may also face federal charges.
