Just curious as to what the rugged individualist libertarian types out west have to say about this. The federal fleet of air tanker firefighting planes is aging and needs replacing, at $80,000,000 a pop.
I’m sure they are clamoring for this program to be zeroed out so as that they can be free of government interference. I’m sure it bothers them no end that city dwellers have to pay taxes to fight wildfires out in the countryside.
