AIR SHOW: Bombardier Confident On CSeries Delivery Target

DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier feels "pretty good" about launching its CSeries jetliner by the end of 2013 despite risks and ongoing "scheduled pressure," a senior executive said at the Dubai Airshow Monday.

"We have a fair amount of scheduled pressure we continue to deal with, with all of our suppliers and internal systems," Chet Fuller, senior vice president of sales for commercial aircraft, told Dow Jones Newswires in an interview.

"We still feel pretty good about our schedule though without question there is risk."

Fuller said a full-systems integration lab, which is commissioning systems and will simulate flights, will help mitigate risks. He also said that having embedded engineers with their suppliers from the start was helping check systems and connections.

The CSeries made its world debut at the Dubai Airshow with a full-scale flight deck demonstrator.

Bombardier is also looking to expand its market share in emerging markets, while U.S. demand remains and is expected to remain flat, Fuller said.
