Jet Airways Airbus A318 Emergency Landing in Romania

CONSTANTA, Romania

Romanian officials say that an aircraft heading from Hamburg to Dubai was forced to make an emergency landing at an airport near the Black Sea port of Constanta because of a cracked windscreen.

Ionel Manafu, the director of Mihail Kogalniceanu airport, says nobody on board suffered any injuries during the emergency landing on Friday.

Manafu says there were eight people on board -- five crew and three passengers -- and that the company operating the flight is Jet Airways.

The head of Romania's air traffic authority Bogdan Donciu says the aircraft was an Airbus A318.
