Homeland Security charter plane had smoke coming from its brakes upon landing at Harrisburg International Airport (KMDT), Pennsylvania.

A charter plane operated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security landed at Harrisburg International Airport with smoke coming from its brakes this afternoon, an airport spokesman said.

Maintenance crews are examining the plane, Scott Miller said. It was not part of the Air Force One fleet, which occasionally conducts training landings at the Lower Swatara Township airport, he said.

No part of the plane caught fire and it landed safely about 1:30 p.m, Miller said.
