McAlpin — A crop duster plane flying in the McAlpin area clipped three high power tension lines Suwannee County Fire Chief Charlie Conner said.
Early Monday afternoon it was reported that the plane clipped three power lines causing a brush fire. There was speculation that the crop duster went down, however, Conner confirmed that the pilot and the plane landed safely at a local airport.
“It just snagged it. ... The pilot is okay, thank goodness,” Conner said in a phone call.
