Delta flight emergency landed safely. Indianapolis International Airport.

A Delta Connection flight emergency landed safely at the Indianapolis International Airport this afternoon after reporting problems with its brakes.

The flight carrying 52 people landed about 1:55 p.m., said Carlo Bertolini, an airport spokesman.

Fire crews from Wayne Township and Plainfield were standing by in case something went wrong.

The jet, Delta Flight 6012, was bound for Boston. It was scheduled to leave Indianapolis at 12:07 p.m. and arrive in Boston at 4:10 p.m., said Carlo Bertolini, an airport spokesman.

The flight is operated for Delta by Shuttle America, a regional carrier. It can hold about 70 passengers.
