ALASKA: Emergency crews respond to mid-air collision.

Mat-Su Borough emergency crews were called at about 2:30 p.m., Saturday to respond to a mid-air collision near Amber Lake Road in the Trapper Creek area.

One plane is reportedly down and in flames on Amber Lake Road and the other plane has only minor damage to a float and is attempting to return to Lake Hood in Anchorage.

No information about the downed plane’s airport of origin or survivors is available, so far.
