The pilot reported after a successful landing, the landing gear collapsed causing the plane to go off the runway, troopers said.

Three men escaped injury Wednesday when the landing gear of an airplane malfunctioned, making it crash off the runway in Flagler County, officials said.

The incident occurred at 3:34 p.m. at Flagler Executive Airport in Palm Coast, Florida Highway Patrol investigators said.

The pilot reported that after a successful landing the landing gear collapsed, causing the plane to go off the runway, FHP said.

Bradley James Frisbie, 30, of Ephrata, Pennsylvania; Mussa Abdallon Alphonce, 23, of the United Republic of Tanzania; and Alsulami Wael Talaq, 27, of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were not injured, Florida Highway Patrol said.

The aircraft sustained minor damage, troopers said.

Florida Highway Patrol said the Federal Aviation Administration was notified of the crash.
