MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) – A small airplane made an emergency landing at Mobile Downtown Airport on Friday, but both the pilot and another person onboard emerged unhurt.
Mobile Airport Authority President Chris Curry told FOX10 News at the airplane was forced to make the emergency landing after the pilot discovered the landing gear would not deploy.
“No injuries. Everybody’s fine,” he said.
The single-engine, four-seat Commander aircraft was manufactured in 1978 by Rockwell International, according to Federal Aviation Administration records. It is registered to a limited liability company in Biloxi, Miss., called Zaid LLC. The address on file belongs to a company that leases virtual office space.
FOX10 News was unable to reach a representative of the firm.
