Elk County, Pa. - A helicopter was forced to land just outside of Ridgway on Route 120 around 12:30 p.m. today.

Officials with West Penn say the helicopter was contracted to look for damage after yesterday's storm.

We're told the helicopter came in contact with a power line but the pilot was able to land in a nearby yard.

West Penn contracts the helicopters to trim trees and inspect hard to reach areas on a regular basis.

There were no injuries and no power outages.
