No one was injured after authorities responded to a plane incident at the Range Regional Airport Monday evening. 

According to The Northland FireWire, Hibbing Fire and Rescue personnel were called to the airport around 8:25 p.m. They were called to the scene of a small plane crash at the far end of the main runway. An airport official told Eyewitness News the small plane was being flown by an experienced local pilot. 

According to the official, the wingtip of the plane caught on the pavement of the runway, causing it to land on its nose. The small plane suffered damages to its propellor and wing. The pilot was not injured. 

The airport had to be shut down briefly while authorities responded to the incident. The plane was removed shortly after 9:30 p.m.  A Delta flight had to be delayed about 20 minutes for the incident to be cleared.
