Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania: Man charged for pointing laser at medical helicopter

POTTSVILLE, Pa. - Pottsville police nabbed a suspect wanted for aiming a laser light at a medical helicopter.

Authorities arrested and charged Timothy Ebert, 23, with risking a catastrophe and reckless endangerment.

The incident happened on August 15th.

The pilot and police pinpointed the area where the laser was coming from to West Arch Street.

When they arrived a man started running, they gave chase, but he got away.

After reviewing multiple cameras in the area, officials identified Ebert as a suspect and arrested him on Saturday.

I'm sure he had a good reason for it, witch reminds me when I look out my window when the helicopter is flying at night I think it's ridiculous that the pilot or passenger shines this bright ass light in my face when I look out my window or when i stand on my porch at night, when I hear a helicopter flying over my house. But it's different when people on land do it.. funny how that works tho.. smh
